Updating the URL doesn't refresh map

Description

If you paste or otherwise change the anchors in the URL bar, the map isn't redisplayed. Is there any way round this (binding to the a URL changing event maybe?) Would probably reduce confusion a good deal (yes, you can click our refresh button, but it's not very obvious).
